Christie DuChateau U.S. International Tax Expert

Simona Dimitrova, EA

Simona Dimitrova is an Enrolled Agent and tax advisor at BNC Tax & Accounting with a background in international tax advisory and cross border compliance. She holds a BSc in Mathematics from King’s College London, a reflection of her longstanding interest in numbers and analytical thinking skills she now applies to complex tax matters with clarity and precision.

After graduating in 2020, she began her career at Ernst & Young in England, where she worked on both U.S. and UK tax issues for multinational clients. Now dividing her time between the UK and her native Bulgaria, Simona helps U.S. citizens, green card holders, and foreign nationals meet their U.S. tax obligations while living abroad. Her work includes preparing individual tax returns (Form 1040 and 1040-NR), handling foreign financial reporting requirements (FBAR, FATCA), and advising on treaty-based positions to keep clients compliant and well informed.

Simona is known for her thoughtful, methodical approach. She supports clients from a range of personal and professional backgrounds, offering clear guidance through each step of the tax process. At BNC Tax & Accounting, she contributes to the firm’s reputation for accuracy, consistency, and responsive service. Her international education, professional experience in England, and close connection to her Bulgarian roots allow her to understand the nuances that come with living and working across borders; a perspective that directly benefits the clients she serves.
