Lola Causholli, CPA
Lola is a Kentucky Certified Public Accountant with over 15 years of experience in U.S. tax compliance and advisory work. She began her career in Albania after earning a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Tirana, working as an accountant at a startup telecommunications firm. There, she helped design and implement the company’s first accounting system, collaborating directly with software developers to tailor the platform to their operations.
After relocating to Florida with her family, she pursued graduate studies at the University of Florida and earned a Master’s in Accounting. She entered the U.S. tax field in 2008, starting in the Washington DC metro area and later moving to Kentucky, where she passed the CPA exam and became licensed in 2017.
Her early U.S. tax experience included working across a wide range of clients—individuals, corporations, partnerships, and those with inbound or outbound transactions. Around 2015, her focus shifted more intentionally toward international tax. Under the mentorship of a senior international tax partner, she began handling more complex cross border matters, including high-net-worth individuals, executive expats, and closely held global business structures. She became the go-to person within her firm for international tax questions, consulted on client strategy meetings, and helped build out an internal international tax team. In that role, she coordinated with executive leadership on risk management, resource planning, and team utilization.
She has also mentored junior staff interested in international work, taught internal training sessions, and co-presented a session on the international provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. While not drawn to formal writing or public speaking, she enjoys teaching in smaller settings and sharing practical, real-world guidance with colleagues.
Lola is a member of both the AICPA and the Kentucky Society of CPAs. Her approach to tax work is centered on being proactive, organized, and clear. She believes in starting early, staying current, and leaving enough room for smart problem solving before deadlines hit. She’s known for being methodical, responsive, and fully engaged in delivering thoughtful client service.
