The Internal Revenue Service announced on February 20 via its @IRSnews Twitter account that it has issued all first and second stimulus payments.

@IRSnews tweeted:

“While some second round Economic Impact Payments may still be in the mail, the #IRS has now issued all first and second Economic Impact Payments. Didn’t receive a payment? You may be eligible to claim the Recovery Rebate Credit.” http://ow.ly/ybnV50DE2ZX #COVIDreliefIRS

The Recovery Rebate Credit is a true-up system that the IRS is using to make sure that everyone who is eligible for stimulus payments has received the full amount that they are eligible for.

If you didn’t receive a payment, or if you received less than you were entitled to, you can use the Recovery Rebate Credit option when you file your 2020 tax return.
